Hiroo Yash Johar, the mother of filmmaker Karan Johar has reportedly been admitted to Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. On Saturday, paparazzo Viral Bhayani shared a video of Karan and designer Manish Malhotra visiting her in the hospital.

In the post, Bhayani wrote, “Karan Johar and his best friend Manish Malhotra were seen at Ambani Hospital visiting Hiroo Johar, who was admitted the previous day. We wish her a speedy recovery.” The accompanying video showed Karan and Manish arriving at the hospital on Saturday evening.
As of now, Karan has not released an official statement regarding his mother’s health. The video included a message stating, “Karan Johar and Manish Malhotra were seen visiting Hiroo Johar at Ambani Hospital. A family member assures us there is no cause for alarm. We extend our best wishes for her swift recovery!”

Just recently, Karan shared festive pictures with Hiroo and his children, Yash and Roohi, during Diwali. The filmmaker wished his followers a joyful festive season and expressed gratitude to Manish for dressing them for the occasion.
Karan on family dynamics
In a recent appearance on the Netflix show Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives, Karan spoke about his modern family dynamic. He and his mother co-parent the children he has through surrogacy. Addressing challenges faced by parents, he mentioned, “You spoke about your daughter and that struck a chord with me. My constant fear is dealing with questions from my own children about my circumstances, given that I have a modern family situation.”
Karan’s recent projects
Last year, Karan made his directorial comeback with the hit film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. He has since produced several projects under his Dharma Productions banner. It includes Kill, Yodha, and Jigra. Recently, he sold a 50% stake in Dharma to businessman Adar Poonawalla for ₹1000 crore.
